About Focus21

Focus21 developed Kargobox, a secure outdoor package delivery system designed to help prevent package theft while providing a more convenient delivery experience for consumers and retailers.

The challenge

Package theft continues to be a growing concern as online shopping volumes increase. Focus21 sought to enhance the security and functionality of its Kargobox system by developing a smart-lock solution and supporting mobile application architecture that would enable secure package delivery and retrieval.

Approach

• Partnered with Conestoga’s SMART Centre to develop a prototype smart-lock system
• Designed software architecture to support mobile application functionality
