Turning raw data into real-time insights for advanced manufacturing

Karmax, a leading manufacturer, has accumulated significant data across its operations but lacked the tools to fully harness it. To address this, Conestoga researchers collaborated with Karmax to develop a machine learning and artificial intelligence prototype that integrates directly into the company’s existing digital twin software. The goal: transform raw data into actionable insights for smarter, faster decision-making.
The project produced a functional proof of concept focused on a single factory line. Researchers delivered a full research report, source code, and an integrated software module demonstrating how AI and machine learning can enhance Karmax’s ability to optimize performance and predict operational outcomes. With the prototype complete, Karmax now has a foundation to expand the system to other lines in its facility and unlock the broader potential of its data assets.
