Brooke Pratt, PhD

Professor

Brooke Pratt is a communications professor and department coordinator in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies.

She is also the co-founder, with Suzanne Rintoul, of the Conestoga Community-Engaged Writing Initiative, which works to enhance opportunities for students, faculty members, and community partners to participate in community-based narrative research and arts.

Her latest research project focuses on narrative inquiry as tool for exploring the relationship between food, community, and belonging.

Brooke currently serves as the vice president of the College Association for Language and Literacy. She holds a PhD in english literature from Western University where she specialized in Canadian literature. Her research interests include community-engaged writing, narrative arts, public culture, writing across the curriculum, social justice, and literary tourism.
