Michael Downing is the lead sales coach in the Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective’s Sales Lab. He is responsible for guiding the program's coaches, mentors and participants to successful outcomes. Joining the Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective in 2020, Michael is the architect of the Sales Lab’s unique approach to developing entry-level sales talent. 

Michael is from Trinidad & Tobago. He comes with eight years of experience working at BlackBerry in sales and account management and seven years of experience with LexClouud.ca in Toronto as their business development manager. Michael is also an accomplished musician and writer. His memoir was recently published and released by Penguin Random House, and he has several more books to be released in 2024 and 2025. 

Michael holds a bachelor of arts in English literature from the University of Waterloo.
