Rose Mastnak, MBA

Director, Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective

As director of the Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective (CEC), Rose Mastnak is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization and leading the growing team in fulfilling the vision of entrepreneurship for humans. Rose founded the CEC in 2019 and is committed to forging pathways for Conestoga student and alumni to pursue opportunity in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. She is also passionate about creating awareness and access to entrepreneurship training in the gaps – industry, business model or geography. 

Rose was born in Kitchener, Ontario and lived just behind the current Communitech building on Joseph Street. She pursued her degrees and career in multiple locales including New York City, Toronto and Vancouver and now finds herself back to Joseph Street - returning in 2010 to a very different landscape.  

Rose has been a part of the Conestoga College community since 2014. She joined as a full-time professor of marketing teaching advertising, entrepreneurship, and sales. Professionally, Rose has worked in various marketing roles at international advertising agencies and has had the entrepreneurship bug since 1999. She has a passion and skill for bringing new ideas and products to market and has founded three new ventures. She believes in making a difference through collaboration, innovation and creativity. 

Rose has a BA from York University in communications and political science, an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a graduate certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation from Stanford University.
