Sharon Tarbotton
Professor
Sharon (B.Sc.N, MN, GNC(c)) is a professor of nursing at Conestoga College. She is a registered nurse with a specialization in education and brings over 17 years of nursing experience in the areas of mental health, woman and children, palliative, and rehabilitation.
She holds a particular interest in internationally educated nurses and their transition into education and health care systems, as well as gerontological nursing practices and has presented on these topics at several national conferences.
Sharon also holds a research partnership within the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA).
Her current research focuses on understanding the experiences of international heath care providers and those who support them as they transition to working in the Canadian healthcare system.
