Shay Kennedy

Tech venture coach

Shay is responsible for coaching entrepreneurs in the Venture Lab for Tech at the Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective. 

Shay was born in Singapore and grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo. Shay brings over 15 years of experience in program management, community building, and administrative support, with a background in post-secondary education and the consulting sector. Shay has ten years of experience in software development, including stints at startups in fintech, health tech, and edtech. 

Shay is the founder and owner of Dreamside Digital, a digital product studio that uses design and technology to empower nonprofits and accelerate their impact. For the past six years, Shay has been leading this digital consultancy, offering services in design, web development, software development, and prototyping. 

Shay holds a bachelor's in international development and globalization from the University of Ottawa and an MA in global governance from the University of Waterloo (BSIA).
