Steven Splinter is a science entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience driving innovation. Over the course of his career, Steven has been immersed in the innovation and commercialization process as a researcher, inventor, entrepreneur/founder, executive manager, board director and investor.
He successfully founded, raised angel and VC investment rounds, and led all technical and intellectual property development for an agri-based bio-innovation company.
He also acts as board member and advisor for several bio-based startups, serves as an entrepreneur in residence and skills clinic coordinator at Toronto Metropolitan University for the nation-wide Lab2Market Program and has lectured in the TMU Master of engineering innovation & entrepreneurship program.
Steven holds a PhD in engineering science from the University of Western Ontario.
