Hello, my name is Lucy. This is my English name. Four years ago, I was a kid in high school. I was born in China. There are endless classes and homework every day. I am a very ordinary and ordinary girl. My mother told me that the world is a big place and I should go out and have a look. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to come to Canada. Canada gives me the feeling that everything is very free and comfortable. When driving on the highway, the scenery is very beautiful. And the occasional small animal is not afraid of people.

Biggest change in my life in the past 3 years has been a few very big events. My family sold their house in BC and moved to KW. I remained in BC, living by myself for the first time. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away, and this was the first family death for me. This changed my perspective on many things, but I learned how to surround myself with a supportive and loving network of friends during my time of grief. While living across the country, I learned how important it is to not isolate yourself during such a time. The next biggest change was while living in BC I decided to move to KW for school opportunities. Moving across Canada to be closer to family but leaving my friends was something I reflected on a lot. I felt my future was a diverging path of moving or staying. Both options had obstacles, which meant the difficulty was less in the choice but what do I want to experience?
