Free dementia education for care partners
Our Care Partners Education program provides free, online dementia education for family and friend care partners and caregivers supporting people living with dementia.

About the program
The program features three self-paced e-learning modules that you can complete anytime, in any order. This flexible format allows you to focus on what is most important to you during your experience as a care partner. You can return to the modules at any time to revisit or expand your learning.
The content was co-developed with care partners who have real-life experience supporting people living with dementia. Their insights and stories are integrated throughout the modules to create a supportive and relatable learning experience.
The modules are designed for family and friend care partners and cover:
- An introduction to dementia for care partners
- Supporting yourself as a care partner
- Exploring dementia care and support options
A recognition of learning certificate will be provided upon completion of all three modules.*
*This certificate is for personal use only and does not count towards a completion for credit, degree or diploma. This professional development certificate does not grant rights or qualify the recipient to train others (for free or for fee) using the concepts and content provided in this course.

Beginning September 2026, we will be hosting a series of webinars about dementia and dementia care.
Join us for the first session in the Care Partners Education Webinar Series, What to Expect with Dementia, on September 30 at noon via Microsoft Teams.
We are pleased to welcome Rebekah Churchyard, Registered Social Worker and Founder & CEO of Green Care Farms, as our guest speaker. She will be joined by a care partner who supports a person living with dementia to share personal experiences, insights, and practical information about what family and friend care partners/caregivers can expect throughout the dementia journey.
Hosted by the Centre for Health Care Research & Innovation at Conestoga College, this webinar launches a five-part series that complements the Care Partners Education program. The program includes three free, online, accessible learning modules co-designed with family and friend care partners/caregivers to provide practical, relevant dementia care education.
Throughout the series, participants will hear from care partners, advocates, and health professionals with lived and professional experience supporting people living with dementia.
